Privacy Policy — Twitching
Twitching (“the Extension”) is a browser extension that enhances the Twitch.tv video player (Chrome / Chromium and Firefox).
What we collect
The Extension does not operate its own servers and does not sell or share personal data.
Stored locally / in browser sync
- Your preference settings (for example: enable seek bar, rewind seconds, preview on/off).
-
These are stored using the browser
storage.sync/ local storage APIs (chrome.storage/browser.storage) and may sync across your signed-in browser profiles if sync is enabled.
Network requests
While you use Twitch, the Extension may request data from Twitch (the same ecosystem you already use):
- Twitch GraphQL (to resolve the current stream recording / VOD access),
- Twitch Usher / CDN hosts (to load HLS playlists and media segments for the recording overlay and optional frame preview).
Those requests are made from your browser to Twitch. We do not receive a copy of them.
On Firefox Add-ons we declare no data collection
(data_collection_permissions: none).
What we do not do
- No advertising ID tracking
- No analytics SDKs of our own
- No account login into Twitching
- No selling of data to third parties
Children
The Extension is not directed at children under 13. Use Twitch according to Twitch’s own terms and age rules.
Changes
We may update this policy when the Extension changes. The “Last updated” date will be revised.
